ReplyCIVIC HALL - PRESERVATION - To keep safe from injury, harm, or protection, to keep alive, intact, free from decay, to keep safe from decomposition, to reserve for special use. Sadly, the City of O'Fallon chose DESTRUCTION and DEMOLITION. I have attached 11 photos of Civic Hall taken a few weeks ago so that we can remember what it looked like and what it represented to many residents of O'Fallon. All that is left are photos and memories.

Right Annie, AB-inBev has nothing to do with the O'Fallon Brewery....The new 96% owner of O'Fallon Brewery is Jim Gorczyca. In his past life, he was a member of the marketing department for Anheuser-Busch. From what we see here in O'Fallon, he is doing a great job with O'Fallon Brewery by providing positive growth and new jobs.

ReplyThe drive thru is definitely needed for St. Louis Bread...Parking is always a problem too. With the final approval of some great plans for this entire strip of land, O'Fallon residents will be pleased with a new shopping area, more parking and a brand new Goodwill Store. O'Fallon is on the move!

ReplyThe Garage Sale Begins At Copperfield Subdivision on Mexico Road, just less than a mile east from the corner of Mexico and Highway K...right across the street from the great ""pick your berries" fields. This event is not a Quiznos...It was my error in putting Quiznos as the location.

ReplyTHE CULTURAL REMNANTS FROM THE PAST HELP TO GUIDE US IN OUR FUTURE..It appears that the hard work of the residents of the 50's in O'Fallon to build Civic Hall on their own time at no cost to the city will be nothing more than memories in a few weeks. What a shame that there could not have been a few more weeks of discussion by concerned residents to make certain that this historic structure could not be preserved.

On the article O'Fallon, River City Rascals Strike Deal to Keep Team at T.R. Hughes Through 2022

ReplyKeeping the River City Rascals at our T R Hughes Ballpark is an important decision for our city...We will maintain the ball park which is an important asset to our city, the Rascal's will be much more agressive in promotion and marketing and they will continue to win, because they are winners...The key now is to increase attendance by O'Fallon residents at the game...and I believe that will happen! Giving up on the ball park and walking away is not the answer and the working relationship between the City of O'Fallon and the River City Rascals will reap the rewards of working together and hanging in there!
