Fred, it was a mistake. I don't see how a proofreading error is "an embarrassment to the entire community," but I'll take your word for it and try to do better in the future. Again, it's been fixed. Thanks for reading.

Prop P was never intended just for stormwater projects. Parks department improvements were in the original plans as well. The Rec-Plex was always on the list of facilities that could see money from Prop P.

I'm pretty sure that's the old Super Smokers, right? If so, that's going to be a new restaurant called Freddy's. The Planning and Zoning commission approved that in December. http://patch.com/A-0fxV

"Fred" and Michael—quit antagonizing each other. Play nice.
As for the security staff issue, there was one woman who was told by city staff to stop yelling things during the presentations. She was seated with those who favored voting no. I think Michael has been pretty clear on this, Fred, and you're just trying to pick a fight.

When the two shops were up for vote in August, the Aldermen at the meeting said it came down to location. The first shop, Big Bear, is near Menards in what they consider a commercial area. The proposed Pandora site is very near a subdivision. However, Pandora wasn't really defeated, it just didn't get enough votes. The site got 4 yes votes and only 2 no votes. The reason it didn't pass is that two aldermen were absent and a majority (five votes) was needed. Had either of the two absent voted yes, it would have passed in August.

St. Peters—151 Spencer Road. It's basically at the intersection of Mexico and Spencer Roads, located just behind the McDonalds.
