Dear Maggie:

Prairie Road Acres is a non-profit organization located in the Wentzville, MO area. We have been serving the local community for 5 years as a camp / retreat ministry, hosting groups that serve people in need in the local community during their stay. In 2011 we are excited about adding horses to our mission so that we can offer equine therapy (horses helping families with special needs children), at no charge to the family. Basically it will be something somewhat similar to a scaled down version of what Therapeutic Horsemanship in Wentzville does, but it will focus on the entire family, in addition to the special needs child. We have talked to Therapeutic Horsemanship and we are starting the process of working with them also. You can see more details about us on our web site at www.prairieroadacres.faithweb.com.

Our greatest need is to get the word out to local families with special needs children, letting them know about our services being offered at no charge, and asking them to participate, and to partner with us to get the word out about our new services staring spring and early summer, 2011. We are hoping that you might be able to help by making an announcement in the local Patch’s throughout the area.
