St Charles County Arts Council (Lillian Yahn Gallery)
The St.Charles County Arts Council is an advocate for the arts and artists in St. Charles County.  Our purpose is to encourage and develop the arts by creating public awareness of county arts activites; to foster communication among visual, performing and literary arts groups; to work for common goals in the interest of community art development; to sponsor meetings, exhibits, workshops, and art shows; and to aid individual members and organizations in their efforts to create art awareness and activities in the county.
In the Lillian Yahn Gallery, we have monthly exhibits by local schools and artists, and group shows (on various themes).  The boutique features fine art and crafts for sale by local artists.   We have classes in braided wool rug making, wool dyeing using native plants, spinning, and fiber weaving of shawls. We have partnered with St Charles Community College to provide day and evening classes in various topics.  Go to www.stcharlesart.org, www.stchas.edu/learnforlife   for more information.
