Man Charged With Choking, Hitting Wife as Many As Ten Times

Police say Jermaine Hill choked his wife and hit her nearly a dozen times before throwing a cell phone at a wall so hard that it embedded in the dry wall. Hill then told police they'd have to come back again when he is released.

A Dardenne Prairie man is accused of attacking his wife Saturday at their home.

Jermaine Hill, 36, of the 7300 block of Pierside Drive in Dardenne Prairie, was charged Monday with third-degree domestic assault.

A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said Hill grabbed his wife by the neck, threw her into a wall and then down onto their bedroom floor between 1:25 p.m. and 1:47 p.m. on April 28.

According to the report, Hill then choked the woman and hit her about 10 times in the face, arms and side. Police said he threw her cell phone hard enough to embed it into the drywall.

Hill threatened to harm his wife again, according to a court document. A deputy reported that Hill “made the statement that when he is released, the police will need to be coming back again.”
