O'Fallon Man Chokes, Knocks Pregnant Wife Off Pickup Truck, Police Say

O'Fallon police said Brantz Heisler's wife suffered a fractured foot, a swollen cheek, sore throat and multiple scratches and bruises.

An O’Fallon man injured his wife as the couple struggled over a cell phone that had evidence the man was cheating and planning to leave her, police said.

Brantz Jaet’n Heisler, 24, of the first block of Perry Circle in O’Fallon, was charged Sept. 9 with second-degree domestic assault.

O’Fallon Police said the couple began fighting over the cell phone and ended up struggling over a crowbar in the back of Heisler’s pickup truck. Police said Heisler knocked the woman off of the pickup truck and she fractured her foot. The woman is seven months pregnant.

Police said Heisler also choking the woman until she thought she would pass out. The woman had multiple scratches and bruises, blood on her clothes, a swollen cheek and a sore throat, police said.

Heisler is being held in the St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $15,000, cash only, and he is to have no contact with the victim.
