Public Works Department August Report

The report included statistics from the engineering, environmental and water divisions.

The O'Fallon Department of Public Works has submitted its August report to the City Council for its Sept. 26 meeting. 

Among the notable projects for the month were the completion of the Bryan Road intersection improvements, the beginning of work on the monument project on Hwy. DD, the completion of Mexico Road intersection improvements, and continuing work on the widening of the north side of West Terra Lane.

Traffic calming studies have been completed on Jacobs Way, Whispering Windsong and Wild Oak. Counters were set on Tennessee Walker Way on August 30.

The Environmental Services division reported the collection of:

  • 1,923 resident trash tons
  • 605 tons went to O'Fallon Recycle
  • 793 tons of yard waste
The diversion rate for recycling for the month of August was 23.93 percent, up from July's 22.91 percent. 

The Water Division reported its peak day of delivery as August 25, with 6.15 million gallons, which is also the highest for the entire year so far.
